The game narrates the adventures of Kratos, a Spartan general in the service of the gods of Greek mythology.

God of War is an action-adventure video game distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2005 for PlayStation 2. Purchase the Deluxe Version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for the equivalent price.
On Decemon the European PlayStation Blog, it was announced that God of War Collection would be included in the God of War III: Ultimate Trilogy Edition. This version is only available in Xbox Game Pass. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced that the collection would be released late 2009. The release of the Collection was pushed back to November 17, 2009.
